Mary-Jo Land
Mary-Jo is a Registered Psychotherapist specializing in supporting and enhancing attachment in children, bonding in parents and resolution of early losses, trauma and neglect in children. In her work with parents, adoptive parents, foster parents and their children, she uses Dyadic Developmental Therapy, Child and Family Play Therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Mary-Jo provides training and consultation in developmental trauma and refugee trauma. Currently, Mary-Jo is a member of the board of directors of Adopt4Life and is a member of the National Consortium on Aggression Towards Family and Caregivers in Childhood and Adolescence (AFCCA). When We Are Very Young, is a video podcast series on attachment, trauma and parenting. She wrote Caring Together, a guide for parents, foster parents and adoptive parents.
